China’s arrival card: use the free official form
The real government link, what to prepare and the fallback at border control.
Quick answer
Use the National Immigration Administration’s free online arrival-card form at s.nia.gov.cn/ArrivalCardFillingPC/. Have your passport, flight and first accommodation details ready. If you cannot complete it online, ask border staff for the on-arrival device or paper form.

Before you travel
- Open the official form using the link in the card below. Check that the address starts with https://s.nia.gov.cn/.
- Use the details from your passport and booking. Keep the hotel’s name, full address and contact number available, including the Chinese version.
- Save the completion result as instructed. Keep it accessible offline along with your bookings.
If the form will not load
You can use the official QR code or device at the arrival border-check area, or fill in a paper arrival card. Ask the officer which option to use.
The official filing service is free. A paid website claiming to be the government form is not a required step.
Do you need one?
Visa-free entry by itself does not remove the arrival-card requirement. The official exemption list includes Foreign Permanent Resident ID holders and specified group, transit, cruise, e-channel and crew arrangements.
If you think an exemption applies, open the official notice below or call NIA 12367 before travelling. An arrival card records your entry information; it does not give you a visa or permission to enter.
