A Guangzhou hospital app rejects your passport: use the registration desk

Choose the hospital and campus first

1. Open the hospital’s official site and find Patient Services / 就医指南. Check the campus address; hospitals with similar names may have several campuses far apart.
2. Call its switchboard or registration line. Say you have a foreign passport and need manual registration, then ask about the department, appointment, hours and documents.
3. Take your original passport, appointment details and written medication/allergy information. Ask your insurer about coverage and required receipts before a planned visit.

A verified counter example—not a citywide rule

At the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Nansha campus, the official guide directs foreign-passport holders to the service-centre manual window in the first-floor lobby of the Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Centre.

The campus is at 8 Hengshun Second Road, Hengli, Nansha / 南沙区横沥镇横顺二路8号. Its switchboard is 020-89998001. Nansha is a different part of Guangzhou from the central campus; confirm you actually need this campus before travelling. Identity registration does not guarantee an appointment.
