Order food to your hotel without losing the delivery
Use the hotel’s Chinese address, a reachable number and a clear handover point.
Quick answer
Ask reception for the hotel’s copyable Chinese delivery address and where riders should leave food. Enter that address, your contact number and a short delivery note before paying. A hotel name or map pin alone is not enough.

Set up the address once
- Ask reception to send the full Chinese address, including district, street, building and hotel branch. Copy it instead of translating it yourself.
- Open the delivery service’s address form. Check the map pin against the address text; ask reception to confirm it if two branches look similar.
- Use a number that can receive the rider’s calls or messages. Ask reception whether its number can be used before entering it.
- Confirm the handover point: front desk, lobby shelf, delivery locker or room. Do not put a room number in place of the street address.
Choose food and check the bill
Meituan is a common Chinese food-delivery platform. The official SinoGuide service offers a bilingual route to local services, including food ordering; account and payment access still depend on your setup.
Before confirming, check the delivery address, delivery fee, estimated arrival and any minimum spend. Use the note field for handover instructions. Confirm allergies directly with the restaurant; a translated dish name is not enough.
After you order
Keep the order open and watch for messages. If the rider cannot find you, send the Chinese hotel name and the agreed entrance or lobby; ask reception to help with the call.
If the order says delivered but you have no food, check the agreed shelf or locker, then use Contact rider / 联系骑手 in that order. If unresolved, open the order’s customer-service route and save the order number.
If registration or payment blocks your first order, ask the hotel about its food service or a nearby restaurant. Do not give a stranger your login or payment code.
